Paula Felizón

Founding partner

Ceramicist and graduate in Geography and History, specialising in Social Anthropology from the University of Seville. She has trained as a specialist in artisanal heritage and museums (Expert Course in Museum Education). Her professional career includes the following projects: “Development of museographic content for the Triana Ceramic Centre”; “Diagnosis of Andalusian craftsmanship for the 2nd Review of the Comprehensive Plan for the Promotion of Andalusian Craftsmanship”, and “Study, inventory and research of traditional trades in Andalusia. FARCA.” .

Antonio Librero

Founding partner

Graduated in Geography and History, specialising in Art History from the University of Seville (US). He has enjoyed several research grants in Cultural Heritage, subsequently completing his training with a Master's in Cultural Management from the US. He has developed his professional work in various fields, including ICT, notably participating in projects related to ceramic heritage, such as the recent creation of content for the Triana Ceramic Centre.

Maleni Bourre

Teacher

Graduated in Modern Languages and Literature from the University of Granada, she has completed several postgraduate courses related to training and education. Her passion for teaching has brought her together with her passion for ceramics, making her a fundamental pillar in the BarroAzul team..

Priscila Ruiz

Teacher

Born in Táriba, Venezuela, Priscila arrived in Seville in 2017. With a degree in Education, her love of art led her to enroll in the Art Workshops at the University of the Andes, where she studied stoneware for two years. At the same university, she attended several seminars on contemporary art. At the School of Art and Fire in Caracas, she worked with glazes with the master Cándido Millán. During her time in Seville, she trained in traditional ceramics in our workshop, where she decided to specialize in the "Cuerda Seca" technique..

Jesús Conde

Teacher

Trained at the School of Art in Seville (Goldsmithing, Silverware, and Artistic Ceramics). Since childhood, he has developed a marked artistic sensitivity, always creating from imagination and with a unique style. He is the author of “Conde Sibarita,” an Instagram account with over 6,400 followers, where he shares the history of Seville through illustrations and animations. His creativity and ability to connect with the audience enrich his work in the workshop, bringing the history of Sevillian ceramics to life in a visual, original, and accessible way..

Lucía Torres

Teacher

Graduated in Law and Master's in Marketing Management, her professional career has always been linked to the cultural industries, new technologies, and education.

Her passion for artisan work and the need to find spaces for disconnection led her to discover ceramics.

Trained as a potter at the Craftsmen's School of Gelves, she can no longer imagine her life without clay.

Virginia Gómez

Teacher

Graduated in Education from the University of Granada, she completed her final year at the University of Olomouc (Czech Republic). She furthered her training with a Master's in Therapeutic Pedagogy. After working as a teacher in Warsaw, a few years ago she discovered the world of ceramics and began her training at the Gelves School of Artisans. Nowadays, her passion is teaching and expressing herself through clay..

Our story

BarroAzul is a company founded by Paula Felizón, an anthropologist and ceramicist, and Antonio Librero, an art historian and cultural manager. Both professionals have worked in the field of artistic ceramics from their respective disciplines for years and, after collaborating as documentarians at the Centro Cerámica Triana, they decided to apply and share their knowledge with the visitors of the Triana neighbourhood..
